Wetherby Town Council covers the town centre and an area reaching towards the county boundary to the north, Collingham to the south and west and the racecourse to the east. Neighbouring villages have their own parish councils – see map WTC Ward Boundary Map.

Wetherby Town Council serves its community with a team of 15 councillors, providing services, organising events and managing local projects in conjunction with its team of staff​.

Thursday surgeries and monthly council meetings provide an opportunity to engage directly with your council. Come along to Wetherby Town Hall each Thursday between 11am and 1pm or at 7pm on the second Tuesday of each month.

Apart from its own responsibilities the Town Council also directly, or indirectly, supports many local activities including Wetherby in Bloom, the Christmas Lights and via grants to local groups. Major services are provided by Leeds City Council, with the Town Council consulted on many issues affecting the town including roads and planning applications.
