Wetherby Town Council is delighted to announce the winners of the highly anticipated annual Christmas Window Dressing Awards, following an evening of celebration on Tuesday, December 16, at Wetherby Town Hall.
The Council commended all participating businesses for their effort and spirit, which has transformed Wetherby into a truly beautiful and festive destination this Christmas season.
“The collective effort this year was magnificent,” said Councillor Connor Mulhall, Mayor of Wetherby. “The windows across our town have been absolutely stunning, generating a wonderful sense of Christmas community spirit. It is truly lovely to see our town come together like this, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to every single business that took part and made Wetherby look so beautiful.”
The competition, sponsored by the Wetherby Business Association, which saw an overwhelming display of creativity from local businesses, featured three distinct categories.
The deserving winners, announced at the special awards evening, are:
* Judges’ Choice Winner: Kemps on The Corner. Runner up Paws Grooming.
* Public Vote Winner: Kemps on The Corner. Runner up Cameron Beaumont Opticians.
* Facebook Vote Winner: Kemps on The Corner. Runner up Nicolla Florist.
The Judges’ Choice category was expertly decided by a panel comprising:
* Councillor Connor Mulhall, Mayor of Wetherby.
* The Head Boy and Head Girl of Wetherby High School.
* Jamie Hullah, Chairman of the Wetherby Business Association.
Special thanks were given to all the judges for taking the time to assess the high standard of entries.
The Public Vote winner saw significant engagement from residents, highlighting the window that resonated most deeply with the community. The Facebook Vote winner demonstrated strong online popularity, reflecting the broad reach of the competition.
