The town of Wetherby celebrated a joyful occasion last Saturday as its beloved Mayor, Dawn Payne, exchanged vows with Andrew Carr in an intimate ceremony attended by family and friends.
The wedding, held at the Bridge Hotel was a picture-perfect event, reflecting the couple’s shared love for the community and each other. Mayor Payne, who has served Wetherby for the last 20 months since her election, was radiant in a classic, retro white gown, while Andrew Carr, looked equally dashing in a tailored, black tie dinner suit.
The ceremony and vows brought tears to the eyes of many attendees. A reception followed, with guests enjoying a warm atmosphere of laughter, speeches, and dancing. Among the attendees were several members of the Wetherby Town Council, who offered their congratulations and well wishes.
