We’re used to visitors in Wetherby. As our ancient coaching inns testify, we have welcomed travellers for centuries by providing a natural midway stop between London and Edinburgh on the Old Great North Road.
Today, Wetherby remains an attractive spot for visitors, offering a rich array of proudly independent shops, cafés and places to stay. We are close to the A1(M) motorway (J45/46) with plenty of free parking and riverside walks. Please note that parking is no longer free at Riverside and Station Car parks. Our Blue Plaque Trail provides a self-guided tour of historical sites, whilst verdant parks and scenic picnic spots along the River Wharfe make Wetherby a refreshing and relaxing destination.
Further afield, Wetherby make an ideal base for day trips to the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors and the East Coast.
